Observed behaviour

Reactions use the phone’s built-in emoji, which can cause some emoji to show up as a white rectangle if the phone does not have them.

Reproduction steps

  1. React to a message with built-in emojis like 🫡 and 🤔 (message with reactions also available in #channel )

Build information

Beta 34, Version 1.0.0, Android 10 (arm64), Device samsung SM-N960U1, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.44.0, Dart 3.12.0

Platform

Android

Details

Expected behaviour Reactions would use Twemoji, like on Desktop and PWA.

Can reproduce Confirmed - I did notice this a few times already and it's an odd sight. - Beta 2035, Version 1.0.0, Android 16 (arm64), Device samsung SM-F966B, Locale de-DE, Push unifiedpush, Flutter 3.44.0, Dart 3.12.0

Can reproduce Confirmed; standard emojis are displayed on reactions Beta 34, Version 1.0.0, Android 16 (arm64), Device samsung SM-S938B, Locale de-DE, Push fcm, Flutter 3.44.0, Dart 3.12.0
