Code of conduct

These rules apply to everything you share on Fluxer Feedback: bug reports, feature requests, comments, reports and attachments. On this page, “posts” means bug reports and feature requests.

They build on the Fluxer community guidelines, which apply here too.

Who is who

  • Fluxer staff are the people who build and run Fluxer.
  • Contributors are community members who help with Fluxer's code, translations or documentation.
  • Moderators look after Fluxer Feedback. Some moderators are Fluxer staff and some are community members.
  • Reviewers are trusted testers who help moderators sort bug reports or feature requests. They can only act on the kind of post they review.

Be respectful

  • Be respectful and assume good faith. Most people on Fluxer Feedback want the same thing: a better Fluxer.
  • Do not harass anyone, and do not post hate speech, threats or personal attacks.
  • Criticize the work, not the person. Fluxer staff, moderators and reviewers follow this too, including when they decline a feature request or close a bug report.
  • Do not accuse anyone of using AI tools because of how they write. If you think a post or comment breaks these rules, report it instead.

Keep posts useful

  • Search before you post. If someone has already reported your bug or requested your feature, vote for that post and add anything new in a comment.
  • Keep each post to a single bug or a single feature request. If you have several, make a separate post for each one.
  • Vote for a post instead of commenting “+1” or “me too”. A comment should add something new, such as steps to reproduce, logs or a workaround.
  • Stay on topic. Comments should be about the post they are on.
  • Do not post spam, advertising or self-promotion.

Write in English

  • Write posts and comments in English so everyone can follow them, including Fluxer staff, moderators, reviewers and contributors.
  • You can use machine translation for text you wrote yourself. Say that you used it, check that the translation still means what you meant, and include your original text below it.
  • Menus and buttons on Fluxer Feedback are translated into many languages, but posts and comments must be in English.

Write it yourself

  • Do not post text, images, audio or video that an AI tool wrote, rewrote or made. This applies to posts, comments and reports. AI tools include chatbots, coding assistants and other large language models (LLMs).
  • You can use AI tools privately, for example to understand a problem. Everything you post must be your own work, and you must be able to explain it.
  • Do not let a bot or an AI agent post, comment, vote or report on your behalf.
  • Machine translation of text you wrote yourself is allowed, as described under “Write in English”.

This follows the Fluxer LLM usage policy.

Keep private things private

  • Do not post personal information about anyone, including yourself, such as email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses or private messages.
  • Never post passwords, access tokens, cookies, recovery codes or API keys, even if they look expired.
  • Check logs and screenshots before you upload them. Cover or remove anything private, like email addresses, tokens or other people's messages.

Report security issues privately

  • Never post a security vulnerability here. Report it privately through the security policy or by email to security@fluxer.com.
  • Include which part of Fluxer is affected, what an attacker could do with it, and the steps to reproduce it.

How moderation works

Moderators keep Fluxer Feedback useful and safe. They can:

  • Hide a post or comment, so that only its author and moderators can see it.
  • Hide the text of a misleading post. The title stays visible, and everyone else sees the reason instead of the text.
  • Collapse comments that are off-topic, outdated, spam or abusive. Anyone can still open a collapsed comment.
  • Lock the comments on a post, or hide a whole comment thread and lock it, when a discussion is outdated or misleading.
  • Merge duplicate posts into one, together with their comments and votes.
  • Remove posts, comments and attachments.
  • Ban an account from Fluxer Feedback. A banned account can still read everything, but cannot post, comment or vote.

Reviewers can approve, sort and hide posts and comments, but only for the kind of post they review. They cannot ban accounts or remove other people's content.

What moderators do depends on what was posted, the harm it could cause and any earlier problems with the same account. Serious cases can lead to an immediate ban.

Every action by moderators, reviewers and the system is listed with its reason in the public moderation log. Edits to a post or comment also show in its history.

Actions on Fluxer Feedback are separate from any action on your Fluxer account.

Report a problem

  • To report a post or a comment, choose Report below it.
  • Pick the reason that fits best and add a short note. Only moderators and reviewers can see reports.
  • Do not argue with the person in the thread. Report the post or comment and let moderators handle it.
  • For serious problems, or conduct outside this site that puts someone at risk, email safety@fluxer.com. Say what happened, where, who was involved, and add any links.
