Verification email not received after signup

Observed behaviour

I created an account and everything but I still haven't received my verification email and can't do a number of the functions I need to without it.

Reproduction steps

  1. Install Fluxer
  2. Create an account
  3. Send verification email
  4. no email received so i hit resend
  5. still nothing and I repeat step 4 until it won't allow me to resend anymore
