Cross-instance message links appear as "No Access"

(#808) Bug Needs triage messaging self-hosting

Observed behaviour

When in a self hosted instance, a friend wanted to send a message link from the main themes instance - but instead I see "No Access" as the link. image If you click on it, a modal pops up saying channel access denied. image But if I right click the "no access" hyperlink, I can see open link and it opens to the themes message I linked (in a new tab on the Fluxer instance). image

Reproduction steps

  1. Copy message link from official instance
  2. Paste link in self-hosted instance

This is not a bug There is no federation between instances as of now. Self hosts cant talk to the main instance, Which is why you get that. it is just not supported. Federation might be planned for the future. there are channels about it in fluxer labs, But It does not currently exist. So any links you paste from fluxer will not work in a selfhosted instance. as self hosts can only talk to itself. cant talk to fluxer So no bug, Just not a thing. because selfhosting does not mean auto federation

The bug here is that web.fluxer.app etc. are hardcoded as message links in the app. It's easily fixed!
