Toggle mute keybind global shortcut doesn't work

(#78) Bug Awaiting confirmation desktop voice

Summary

When I try to use Toggle Mute keybind with global shortcut enabled, it doesn't work at all. If I disable global shortcut, it works when focused as expected.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Set toggle mute to any keybind.
  2. Enable global shortcut
  3. Attempt to use keybind to mute microphone, focused or unfocused
  4. Does not mute

Environment (optional)

-Windows 11 -In a voice channel stable (ab66ad7), 2026-02-14 23:14:53 UTC, Electron 39.2.7, Windows 11 10.0.26200 (x64), desktop stable 0.0.8

Status changed from Fixed to Awaiting confirmation
This was closed in a bulk cleanup before Fluxer V2 without being checked or fixed. It may work now, so it is waiting for someone to confirm whether the bug still happens.

Same/similar issue on Linux (NixOS unstable) using Plasma 6 with the wayland session. Same story with toggle deafen. Keybinds like opening settings work fine that aren't global are mostly OK. Some keybind combinations don't seem to work at all like Ctrl+` (button above tab on US keyboards).

Same for me. Other hotkeys work like deaf or settings, but mic mute doesn't no matter what.

It seems they may have fixed the shortcut IF you are using the default keybinds. If you change it, it doesn't work anymore. At least on Windows 11.
