  2. Occasionally the sidebar will glitch and load forever never loading the member list

Environment

Windows 11. Selfhosted instance. Accessed using latest Google Chrome web app.

I believe I'm seeing the same issue on a self-hosted instance. While the issue was active I inspected the DOM and React tree and found that the member list was rendering skeleton entries rather than actual member entries. The sidebar showed correct group names and counts (e.g. "Administrator — 1", "Offline — 1"), but member rows remained stuck as skeletons. Switching to another channel or community immediately caused the member list to render correctly again. I also observed one case where the member list briefly rendered correctly and then returned to the skeleton state less than a minute later without any further interaction. Environment:
  • Firefox on Linux
  • Self-hosted instance
The recent commit mentioning "re-sync member list on forced re-subscribe" sounds very similar to the behavior I observed.

@hampus-fluxer sorry to bother but could you take a look at this bug too? its pretty persistent and is more bothersome to me than the recently fixed gif embed issue.

I'm not too sure myself at this time, but if nobody else has taken a stab at it by the time I'm complete with my current big voice & video work that's so far just sitting on my machine whilst I test it out properly (soon will get synced up here to the repo with subsequent test builds in a staging environment since it's highly backward incompatible with the old LiveKit setup and general mess related to it), then I can take a look at this!
