Claiming a guest account fails with a request timeout

Summary

I'm unable to confirm my new account. Every time I try to confirm my account I get the email with the code, but when I input the code and try to confirm my account I get this error

I’m not an expert, but maybe it’s your firewall blocking the app from connecting (unlikely)? Maybe try using a vpn.

I'm using protonvpn, tried disabling all extensions but still doesn't work, I've checked the network tab and client side nothing is being blocked on my side

Weird, I was able to create an account by going into the main page and clicking open in browser and then clicking sign up But when using the try without email I can't claim the account
