Group chat name and icon isn't shown in notifications

Reproduction steps

  1. be in a group chat with a custom name and icon
  2. receive a notification from said group chat
  3. observe the part of the notification where other chat apps usually have the group name and icon

Expected behaviour

It shows the group chat name and icon

Actual behaviour

For the name it has "Group DM" and for the icon it has the message sender's profile picture

Build information

Version 2026.11.100, Beta 4, Channel Beta, Build 3007, Android 15 (arm64), Device motorola moto g54 5G, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.9, Dart 3.13.7

Platform

Android

  1. Eyeflame changed the status from Needs triage to Confirmed
  2. Elias changed the status from Confirmed to Fix pending
  3. Rex changed the status from Fix pending to Awaiting confirmation
  4. quince changed the status from Awaiting confirmation to Confirmed

Additionally in communities it shows the channel name, but still the sender's profile picture for the conversation icon Discord's way of doing this is putting the server and channel name in the conversation name and the server's icon as the conversation icon

The group DM text is still there and the icon is now the message sender + a generic person icon behind that For communities the notifications have reverted to the old style, but the community name is there now
