Mouse middle button click on an URL does not always open tab in the background

(#4404) Bug Closed: Fixed

Reproduction steps

  1. reload fluxer web
  2. middle mouse button click any URL in the chat

Expected behaviour

  1. browser opens the newly created tab IN THE BACKGROUND

Actual behaviour

  1. browser directly jumps to the newly created tab
Any URLs middle clicked AFTER this behave as expected/open in the background. After a reload of the fluxer tab the same happens again.

Middle-clicked links open in a background tab from the first click after a reload (fluxerapp/fluxer#3663), in web 2026.1027.182052

This should be fixed in web 2026.1027.182052, which went out about an hour ago. Reload the tab once to pick it up, then middle-click a link straight away. It should open in the background now.
