Mouse middle button click on an URL does not always open tab in the background

Reproduction steps

reload fluxer web
middle mouse button click any URL in the chat

Expected behaviour

browser opens the newly created tab IN THE BACKGROUND

Actual behaviour

browser directly jumps to the newly created tab

Any URLs middle clicked AFTER this behave as expected/open in the background. After a reload of the fluxer tab the same happens again.
