Markdown alerts display incorrectly in forum post guidelines

When attempting to use an "Important" alert in forum "Post guidelines" it displays as a massive warning symbol with the text "Important" below.

1. Create a forum (media forum in my case)
2. Edit post guidelines
3. > [!IMPORTANT]
