Desktop push notifications setting gets turned on automatically

I'm having the same issue on Kubuntu. From what I can tell, the setting is not persisting after the app closes and opens. Changing the setting and exiting/entering the settings shows it toggled off as expected, and the notifications are toggled off as requested. But once the app reopens after a close, the setting is reverted.
