Suppressing here/everyone notifications prevents posts using these mentions from being highlighted in chat

Reproduction steps

Go to a random community.
Change your notification settings so that here/everyone mentions are suppressed.
Now ping either here or everyone and observe.

Observed behaviour

The post doesn't get highlighted in chat: if you change your settings so that here/everyone isn't suppressed any more, then hovering over the messages restores the highlighting (same in reverse order).
