Clicking a linked or replied message and changing channels can send you to the wrong message

Observed behaviour

The text chat starts scrolling erratically, and ends up on the wrong message

Reproduction steps

Click a linked or replied message
Change channels before the animation of going to the message finishes
Go back to the channel that contains the linked or replied message

Evidence

In the attached video i first show a message link working properly followed by me causing this bug from that message link. I then proceed to do the same with a replied message. I show both working properly first to show which message they should be sending me to.
