Override mention preference modal does not appear when starting reply with non-preferred preference

Observed behaviour

Nothing happens Note: This also happens if user’s preference is set to “Prefer @mentions” is on, and shift + reply button is used to send a reply.

Reproduction steps

  1. Have another user change their Reply Mention Preference in Settings -> Privacy Dashboard to “Prefer no @mentions”
  2. Press the reply button with a message to the other user.

Expected behaviour modal pops up saying the user does not prefer to be @mentioned
