Hm, no, I think it would have triggered by now if the same thing is to happen. This isn't a guarantee that it isn't happening, but 5 minutes sitting idle in Firefox hasn't caused the same thing to happen.
I do notice that on my profile the border color is stuck on the wrong color, though, so I wouldn't rule out a caching issue.
