Option to hide other people's typing indicators

(#1246) Feature Under consideration messaging privacy

3mo agoby RexSystem edited originally by @figurashape on GitHub

Problem

I don't want to see when others are typing, and I don't like when people can see that I am typing.

Proposal

A toggle that lets you disable seeing others' typing indicators, and a toggle that lets you disable others from seeing your typing indicators, or one toggle that does both at once.

Notes

I don't see any tradeoffs.

There's a dedicated feature request for hiding your own typing indicator at: https://feedback.fluxer.com/p/1231/allow-users-to-hide-their-type-indicator The ability to disable seeing others' typing indicator does not, however, seems to be unique to this issue so perhaps this should be edited to only focus on that part?
