UnifiedPush as an alternative to Apple and Google push notifications
Problem
To keep the dependencies to Apples and Googles US based services low, an alternative to Googles and Apples push notification systems would be nice.Proposed solution
A existing solution, that is not too complicated for the user to setup, could be implementing UnifiedPush as an alternative for push notifications. https://unifiedpush.org/Notes (optional)
This problem does not exist currently, as there is no official app. Having UnifiedPush as alternative is preferred instead of replacing Googles and Apples push services. This allows to keep an easy setup for most users and would give privacy focused folks, like me, peace of mind.Checks
