When posting a message fails in a channel with slowmode, the slowmode timer still activates

Summary

When I post in a slowmode channel and the message fails to send, the slowmode timer still activates. I expect the slowmode timer to not count failed messages. Note: I tried this in Fluxer HQ since it's currently unstable. I did not try this in other communities yet as I'm not sure how to post an invalid message otherwise.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to server with slowmode channel
  2. Post an invalid message in the slowmode channel
  3. See that the slowmode timer still activates
  4. Try to post a new message
  5. See that it's disallowed

  • Browser: Firefox
