Passkey support broken on Linux Desktop

(#840) Bug Needs triage desktop security

Observed behaviour

On the Linux Desktop Canary app (from any source), the "Sign in with a passkey" button does not open any OS-level dialog, or detect that it can't. Because of this, it's impossible to sign in on the Linux Desktop app without an existing session. (Tested on Fedora/GNOME/Wayland on AppImage/RPM and Mint/XFCE/X11 on AppImage.) As far as I can tell, this is a duplicate of #113, but that issue was bulk-closed and is still present.

Reproduction steps

  1. Open the Linux Desktop app. Log out if necessary to reproduce.
  2. Press "Sign in with a passkey".
  3. Nothing happens.
