Muting a category does not mute the channels inside it

Observed behaviour

On the linux desktop AppImage, there is an issue I am encountering where if you mute a category, channels underneath that category still act as unmuted, showing the the bright white, instead of the dim gray. Also, if you collapse the category. This seems like issue #769 resurfaced

Reproduction steps

1) Join or create a server that has a category with several channels underneath it. 2) Mute the category itself 3) Wait for someone to post on one of the channels underneath the muted category 4) you should now get notifications from those channels, and have the unread messages pop up if you collapse the channel
