Taskbar icon issues for Fluxer Canary on the Cinnamon desktop environment

(#783) Bug Fixed desktop packaging

Observed behaviour

I just tried and used the deb and appimage versions and both present the same issue on this desktop, i'm on Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition and the taskbar icon simply does not work and you can't right click it to close the app (it requires the system monitor to manually end the process).

Reproduction steps

  1. Have the Cinnamon desktop
  2. Open Fluxer Canary (deb, appimage, etc.)

I'm also on Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition, and it's the same for me. Plus for me, launching with the system tray disabled creates a hole in whatever window I'm in (Firefox for example) that shows my desktop background until the app window renders. My version to compare: Canary Desktop 2026.820.154932, Web 2026.820.180916, Linux 6.17.0-42-generic (x64), Electron 43.4.0, Chrome 150.0.7871.224, Node 24.18.1, Locale en-US
