GrapheneOS UnifiedPush Unbinding

Summary

Self hosted fluxer, ntfy and android ntfy using WebSockets and check to be a UnifiedPush distributor. The fluxer app registers to a topic, exchanges keys and binds to it, after 5-10 seconds it promptly just unbinds for no reason. Happens both when focused as well as when on background. Battery optimization, all permissions are granted and background usage is permitted.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch the Ntfy app and delete the com.fluxer subscribed topic.
  2. Launch the Fluxer app and let it auto subscribe and create its own topic, verify that a topic has been subscribed to with "com.fluxer"
  3. Leave application in background not focused in DM or Community
  4. Message either unfocused community or DM
  5. Notification sound chimes, no notification appears and the ntfy timestamp does not update
