Punycode not supported when logging in from outside of browser

https://chat.xn--28jl4a1h.xn--q9jyb4c/ ↑ I've just made a new instance of fluxer here However when I try to login from the flatpak (and click open browser) it's showing the following error: 
Error invoking remote method 'switch-instance-url': Error: Not a valid Fluxer instance (Unexpected token '<', "<!doctype "… is not valid JSON)

Steps to reproduce

  1. open flatpak version
  2. click "browser login" (text might mismatch because it's not in English for me)
  3. change the instance URL to https://chat.xn--28jl4a1h.xn--q9jyb4c/ (or try chat.xn--28jl4a1h.xn--q9jyb4c)
  4. click "open in browser"
