[Self Hosted] Issues creating an account from a guild invite link without an email provider configured

(#638) Bug Needs triage self-hosting

Summary

When you try to create an account from a guild invite link, and your instance does not have an email provider configured, there will never be a verification email and you can never claim the account. This means that your account can never send any messages, along with any other issues that you would have without verifying. However, even when I go through the admin page to manually set and verify the email of a user, it doesn't properly "claim" the account. If they try to send a message, they still get this response: image

Steps to reproduce

Go to an invite link for a guild and you aren't signed in / don't have an account, it prompts you to make one, showing this screen: image You can set your display name, and then click Create account, which brings us here: image After entering an email and password, it forces us to claim the account with an email verification: image

Similarly, IP address authorization by email effectively softlocks users out of their account if an instance's email system is not set up.
