Brief lag when dragging the scrollbar or opening settings

Summary

grabbing the scroll bar with the mouse and changing to the settings menu both cause lag for about a quarter-a half of a second. i dont see any performance options in the settings that could potentially fix this or help stable build 506 (db65069), 2026-05-11 21:10:55 UTC, Electron 39.2.7, Windows 11 10.0.26200 (x64), desktop stable 0.0.8
