(Canary 449) Audio screenshare takes long to activate sometimes & other user in voice call can hear themselves with the shared audio

(#537) Bug Fixed desktop video

Summary

In latest Fluxer canary when trying to screenshare with audio, the audio sharing takes atleast a couple of minutes to actually work sometimes, the other problem is the other user can hear themselves in the screenshare with the audio Audio sharing is pretty low audio aswell, almost like its picking up the audio through a different pipewire node that isn't the game audio.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install canary fluxer
  2. Try to screenshare with audio
  3. Notice it takes a while for the audio to be shared
  4. User can hear themselves in the screenshare audio aswell

Environment (optional)

canary build 445 (ec13576), 2026-04-23 23:15:11 UTC, Electron 41.2.2, Linux 7.0.1-1-cachyos (x64), desktop canary 0.0.36 CachyOS, KDE Plasma 6.6.4, Wayland Session

I have also noticed that the audio sharing has auto gain or something? when i speak loudly the audio sharing becomes super loud, then when i speak quieter it goes back down lol

Solved my issue, easy effects was routing the chromium audio to the vencord/venmic pipewire node and so was picking up my friends voice in the call. This is helvum aswell to look at the pipewire nodes image

My issue has been resolved as it was a linux problem, if on the latest canary and you still have this issue I would open a new issue because that's on windows.
