Choppy and low sound in VC

(#519) Bug Awaiting confirmation voice

Summary

When joining a voice chat and talking with friends, their sound level is so low that i have to put up to %200 to hear them and they can't hear me if they don't put sound level to %200. We tried tweaking noise suppression or turning off "Enhanced Noise Suppression" but none of it worked. This wasn't a problem last week, as of right now we can't use the app for communication.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Join a voice chat
  2. Start talking & listen

Environment (optional)

OS: Fedora 43 App: stable build 379 (e424792), 2026-04-17 13:46:10 UTC, Electron 40.0.0, Linux 6.18.12-200.fc43.x86_64 (x64)

Status changed from Fixed to Awaiting confirmation
This was closed in a bulk cleanup before Fluxer V2 without being checked or fixed. It may work now, so it is waiting for someone to confirm whether the bug still happens.

A search suggests that voice chat issues on Fedora are commonly caused by conflicts with PipeWire, outdated client versions, or restricted Flatpak permissions. Perhaps try upgrading or rolling back PipeWire to see if that helps?
