Users cannot hear each other in a DM voice call

Summary

When i was on voice call with a friend (my boyfriend teehee) none of us could hear each other and he told me to look at my settings but my output and input devices were correct and i turned off all supression options in the audio tab in settings, also there was a green ring on my profile picture when i talked but my friend couldnt hear me, i also noticed a delay when i talked and the green ring appearing (btw im on windows 11) and when me and my friends made a group chat together we could hear one another but it was more quiet but we could hear each other and im not sure if its a issue on my end or not but my friend said it might be something with me being on windows
