Custom emoji do not work in message after switching channels

Summary

Adding a custom emoji to a message (doesn't matter where), switching to a different channel and then switching back, sending the message causes the emoji to not send correctly, only the text. Note that the standard emojis do not have this issue.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enter a custom emoji to a message box.
  2. Switch to a different channel or DM, hiding the message box.
  3. Switch back to the original channel / DM, bringing back the draft message.
  4. Send message.
