Fluxer Beta android has lower versionCode from v2026.10.100-beta.16 (oss) to v2026.11.100-beta.2 (oss)

(#4612) Bug Closed: Invalid mobile packaging

Reproduction steps

  1. Install v2026.10.100-beta.16
  2. Try to upgrade to v2026.10.100-beta.2
  3. It will fail as the version code for the latter (890) is lower than the former (2876) and downgrades aren't allowed
Note: I'm using the arm64-v8a betaoss version Note: I'm on GrapheneOS, but the issue should be present on all Android 10+ devices

Expected behaviour

The version code should be higher

Actual behaviour

It isn't

For some reason, the build number was increased by 1000 or 2000, and the team managed to find the cause of that. This issue is not specific to Fluxer. The only way to update is to uninstall and then reinstall the app.

As C.Ezra.M said, this is expected, not a bug. Dev team fixed an issue with the build numbers (some split APKs had an inflated version code due to an undocumented Flutter quirk). You'll need to uninstall and reinstall the app once, since Android doesn't allow downgrading the version code. Updates will work normally afterward.
