Highlighting a bunch of text at the top of the app breaks the Threads and Pins menus

Reproduction steps

Drag and highlight a bunch of the text in the top part of the menu (Alternatively, just Ctrl+A to select all text in the app)
Click on the threads or pins dropdown menus

Expected behaviour

Text highlighting shouldn't impact these things. They should work even if you've highlighted everything in the app.

Actual behaviour

Highlighting some portion of text at the top seems to prevent these menus from opening. Video demonstration attached.
