Current problem
when a message doesn't send because of connectivity issues, there's an option to "resend" or "delete". but a perfectly valid troubleshooting step is to restart the app. however, to do so brings anxiety that my locally cached message may not be restored upon restart. always always before doing anything risky on a phone (which includes simply switching apps because of strict memory pressure evictions on any and all background processes) it is deeply engrained in my muscle memory to copy anything important to the clipboard.
but presently in Fluxer there is no such option, so restarting becomes this game of Russian roulette where my message is likely to completely disappear.
Proposed change
let me copy a message that failed to send!! that way, i can restart the app with confidence! knowing for sure that my writing is safe in my clipboard (which doesn't evict at random)
Platform
Android, iOS
Additional information
in some apps that are particularly unreliable, i sometimes end up trying to copy my messages before hitting send. because i know that exactly the kind of thing shown in the attached video will end up happening otherwise.
in the attached video, i am trying various different gestures to try and trigger any kind of text selection or other prompt, but it all leads back to "Retry / Delete".
