Shift-click to open a thread in full view also highlights things

Reproduction steps

Create a thread in a text channel
Click on any text
Shift+click on the thread title in the channel

Expected behaviour

I expected the thread to simply open.

Actual behaviour

Before the the thread opens, it also highlights a bunch of text depending on where you last clicked before clicking to open the thread. See video for demonstration.
