Passkey MFA Not Functioning on Mac Client

(#43) Bug Awaiting confirmation desktop security

Summary

When logging in via the Mac client, I am prompted (as expected) to provide a security key/passkey as a second form of authentication. When I hit the button "Security Key / Passkey" the button darkens for a second in response to the click, but nothing happens.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the Fluxer app while logged out
  2. Log in via email + password to an account with a Security Key/Passkey set as your 2nd factor of authentication
  3. Click "Security Key / Passkey"

Environment (optional)

  • OS: MacOS 26.3 Tahoe
  • Fluxer App Version: 0.0.8

Logs or screenshots (optional)

Console log when pressing the button:
WebAuthn MFA failed Error: Error invoking remote method 'passkey-authenticate': Error: [WebAuthnMac.swift] getCredential(): The operation couldn’t be completed. Unable to verify webcredentials association of 3G5837T29K.app.fluxer with domain fluxer.app. Please try again in a few seconds.

Status changed from Fixed to Awaiting confirmation
This was closed in a bulk cleanup before Fluxer V2 without being checked or fixed. It may work now, so it is waiting for someone to confirm whether the bug still happens.
