App and client settings revert to default upon closing

Reproduction steps

Change settings in mobile app or desktop client.
Refresh or close and reopen the app or client.
Observe settings previously changed have reverted.

Expected behaviour

Settings remain as the user selects between sessions.

Actual behaviour

I've been experiencing an issue for 2-3 days now with settings reverting when reopening the Android 16 mobile app or reopening/refreshing both the stable and canary desktop clients on Nobara Linux 44. I've repeatedly tried clearing cache, storage, .config, uninstalled and reinstalled. The mobile app is the FCM version installed via Obtainium. Desktop clients are RPMs installed from the official Fluxer repos. Affected settings involve multiple categories and are generally reverting to defaults. Some examples: showing favorites and active now, text-to-speech notifications, DM message previews, media buttons, message action bar, message input buttons, send files in order, search/reverse image/translators removing customized default (Kagi) so that I have to reselect it in the dropdown.
