Inbox does not include @everyone or @role mentions when "Include all community mentions" is not checked

Reproduction steps

  1. Receive a role or everyone ping from another account (Note: pinging yourself does not work)
  2. Open the inbox (top right)
  3. Click the @ symbol to look at mentions
  4. At the bottom left, click the 3 dots
  5. Ensure the first 2 boxes are checked ("Include @everyone/@role mentions"
  6. Uncheck the 3rd box labeled "Include all community mentions"

Expected behaviour

I expected to see all @everyone and @role mentions, with @Fullest mentions filtered out

Actual behaviour

Nothing appears whatsoever. See screenshot. Performing equivalent steps on mobile gives the same result.
