Current problem
Previously, updating Fluxer was done via a banner which popped up and asked if you wanted to update. Now, I noticed that a Discord-like pre-launch updater has been added, and - as acknowledged by the developers, if I'm not mistaken - it can be very slow when finding an update, which makes it a bit obnoxious when the old style seemed to be working just fine & gave users choice on when they wanted to update.
Proposed change
Provide an option to either skip the pre-launch and revert to the old behavior, or prevent automatic updates and instead manage them manually.
Additional information
Discord has (or maybe had?) an option to stop automatic updates by configuring some obscure .json file, but I think it'd be a better idea to just provide some toggle in settings.
