pasting from a keyboard control will not parse markdown like when you paste from the tooltip

Reproduction steps

be using a keyboard with clipboard controls, such as Google Gboard
put in your clipboard any markdown syntax that renders inline (i.e. mentions)
paste, from the keyboard itself (not through the tooltip rendered by the app; that one works as expected)

Expected behaviour

the mentions should be interpreted properly and become inline rich entities in the chat box

Actual behaviour

the literal markdown is pasted, as raw text. (it is later reparsed when sent; it is literally including the correct syntax in the message, the client just doesn't recognize it as that syntax yet)
