Schedueled Statuses

(#3904) Feature Open: Under consideration desktop mobile profiles

Current problem

Status are currently manual and don't work as a true status if you can't schedule it.

Proposed change

My idea would let you schedule by the hour to automatically update your status. It should also be able to be custom day by day since people don't typically have the same schedule on weekends. ei: Sun- 5am awake/gaming > 8pm sleepies time Mon- 5am working > 12pm home/gaming > 8pm sleepies time It would automatically update, you set it up once and forget about it, but now your friends know when to bug you!

I realize we don't even have a status feature yet. When it is added, I think it should have this function as an option.

hm. i feel like defining a schedule per weekday in Fluxer would be very Feature Creep of them and lots of people don't have weekly schedules. but being able to publicly show a calendar event as an activity on your profile would be really neat. i could easily see there being a calendar integration, and then you could show whatever you want, and calendar software could be used to define your schedule in whichever way you need! it would also be important in my opinion, to be able to limit such a thing to just friends or specific people, because if your work schedule is otherwise publicly available (e.g. through skola24), it would be relatively trivial to correlate events with your actual real life identity, or organization unit, or whatever else sensitive information. on the other end of the privacy spectrum; one might publish their calendar on their Fluxer profile. this would be really cool for organizations self-hosting Fluxer! where one might want to check when their coworker is free (and the publicity is not an issue; because the entire instance is internal)
