Cancelling an edit doesn't clear the text box

Expected result: Cancelling an edit clears the text box for new messages. Actual result: Although the edit is cancelled, the text box remains with the content of the message that was being edited. This doesn't affect all messages. Although I haven't found a clear pattern, shorter messages seem to be affected more easily.
