Friend requests tab overlay remains visible and stuck on screen when navigating to DMs from a user profile

When navigating to a user's profile from the friend requests list (incoming/outgoing) and tapping the message button to open the chat, the app successfully redirects to the Direct Message channel, but the friend requests menu/overlay incorrectly stays visible and stuck on top of the UI instead of dismissing.

1. Go to your Direct Messages and open the friend requests section.

​2. Scroll down to the list and select a user's profile (e.g., from outgoing friend requests). ​3. Tap on the Message button on their profile. ​4. Observe that while the chat opens in the background, the friend requests overlay remains trapped and stuck on top of the screen.
