Mobile login is email only

Observed behaviour

I set up a new self-hosted instance today with the recommended username login. The android app using Google Play and using Obtainium both only allow email logins. I assume username logins should also work.

Reproduction steps

  1. Download Fluxer app from Google Play store (or Obtainium)
  2. Open it
  3. No option to use username login

This is now avilable for self-hosted instances as of the latest update. Thanks for flying Fluxer!

This was reported as a bug but it was not implemented in the app yet. There is a separate issue following it not working fully https://feedback.fluxer.com/p/3684

Still can't log in to my instance, the login box requires email only even though it's in username mode. Version 2026.10.100, Beta 4, Channel Beta, Build 633, Android 16 (arm64), Device Google Pixel 9, Locale en-US, Push fcm, Flutter 3.47.7, Dart 3.13.5

This was reported again as #3684. Still happening for me. Version 2026.10.100, Beta 3, Channel Beta, Build 2621, Android 15 (arm64), Device OnePlus HD1901, Locale en-DE, Push unifiedpush, Flutter 3.47.6, Dart 3.13.5
