Current problem
There is no regex-replace function.
Proposed change
- Create a client side regex-replace function that modifies URLs in messages with more privacy respecting alternatives before sending. This would be very similar to the preset/user defined lists like the translators/search engines/reverse image search options. Ideally it would be a configurable dictionary that supports clarifying both the URLs to be detected and what it would be replaced with.
- Additionally, allow the same parser to redirect links from other users' messages to the configured URL with a toggle

- This could be expanded to work as a general regex-replace feature, though I'm not sure what other use cases that would be accounting for
