Receiving a notification makes the user appear online briefly, despite not having opened the app

Observed behaviour

To the independent user, your profile switches to the green phone / "online (on mobile)" indicator, right as you receive the notification. After 10-30s, your profile goes back to offline. Note that I used to be able to reproduce this on my own devices with an alt account; now only with a second person and their account. The bug occurs in both directions between us. Lmk if this is actually an API issue I should report on the desktop side of things.

Reproduction steps

Fully close the app
An independent user can observe the gray / "offline" indicator on your profile
Have the independent user message you, and do not interact with the notification and keep the app closed

Can reproduce Seen this happen many times especially in group DM - Version 2026.10.100, Beta 2, Channel Beta, Build 84, iOS 26.6 (arm64), Device iPhone13,1, Locale en-GB, Push apns, Flutter 3.47.6, Dart 3.13.5
