Twitter/X links not embedding properly

Summary

Posting an X link does not result in an embed showing the contents of that tweet, instead it just shows a link to x.com. Sites people used to fix embeds on Discord also don't seem to work.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Post a link to an X post.
  2. Look at the embed.

Environment (optional)

Appear to affect both desktop and web versions.

Logs or screenshots (optional)

Incomplete embed with x: image No embed at all with fixvx: image

incomplete x.com embed happens on my self-hosted server. I don't know about fixvx.com... i modified the unfurl so x.com and twitter.com are replaced by fxtwitter.com and it embeds properly.

twitter embeds likely need an api integration to render them properly. sites like "fixupx" and "fxbsky" used to be used to fix the issue on discord, so it makes sense that fluxer is having the same issues.
