Screenshare not showing anything from Linux Wayland host

Observed behaviour

The non-host PC only sees a spinning loader.

Reproduction steps

  1. Using one account, on a linux wayland session, using either the canary desktop client or the canary web client, join a VC and start a screenshare (doesn't matter of what, can be anything).
  2. On another PC with another account, join the same VC and try to watch the screenshare.

Canary Desktop 2026.602.31138, Web 2026.605.11941, Linux 7.0.12-1-cachyos (x64), Electron 41.2.2, Chrome 146.0.7680.188, Node 24.14.1, Locale en-US

Expected behaviour The window or app being shared should be visible on the non-host PC.

Can reproduce CR: Only happens sometimes? Connecting twice loaded the video feed properly. Canary Desktop 2026.602.31138, Web 2026.605.11941, Linux 7.0.9-ogc3.2.fc44.x86_64 (x64), Electron 41.2.2, Chrome 146.0.7680.188, Node 24.14.1, Locale en-US
