Moving the mouse over messages causes high CPU usage

(#3025) Bug Confirmed desktop performance

Observed behaviour

The canary client shows no discrepancies, except that this sporadically also happens when Fluxer is minimized.

Reproduction steps

  1. Open Fluxer Canary and another task-tracking application side-by-side, e.g. Task Manager, htop, etc...
  2. Shake mouse rapidly across several different messages
  3. Observe high CPU usage from task manager app
