Manually typed user mentions and channel links are sent as plain text

Observed behaviour

ID links that are typed out remain as plaintext within the message.

Reproduction steps

  1. Manually type out either a user mention or channel link in full
  2. Press space once the mention/link is complete
  3. Press Enter to send the message

Expected behaviour Written channel links and mentions function as per usual.
