Observed behaviour

Invisible / Formatted Large hitbox for mentioned message when replying to it Links can also be hidden when using markdown links

Reproduction steps

  1. Use an invisible unicode character, empty codeblock or markdown
  2. Message gets invisible

Can reproduce CR: Notable exceptions are # and * *, but things like ` `, -# and ~~ ~~ exhibit this behavior. Canary Desktop 2026.603.33821, Web 2026.604.204947, Linux 7.0.10-101.fc43.x86_64 (x64), Electron 41.2.2, Chrome 146.0.7680.188, Node 24.14.1, Locale en-US
